Smart Commute Month 2025

Celebrate Smart Commute Month This September!

Smart Commute Month returns this September, and it’s your chance to think differently about how you travel.

Whether you walk, bike, take transit, carpool, or work from home—we want to hear from you! This annual campaign is about sustainable ways to get around and invites you to share your commuting habits through a short survey. Your feedback helps improve transportation options in your community - and gives you a chance to win one of fifteen $100 gift cards!

To enter the contest, take the Smart Commute Month 2025 Survey OR log a trip on the Smart Commute app between September 1 to October 6, 2025, for an eligible contest entry to WIN one of fifteen $100 gift cards. Below are some things to know:

  • Only one survey entry per participant is eligible for contest entry.
  • Logging a trip adds ONLY one (1) additional ballot entry regardless to the draw of how many trips are logged in the month.
  • Trips must be taken between September 1 and 30, 2025, and must be logged on the Smart Commute Tool by 11:59pm EST on Monday, October 6, to qualify for the prize draw.
  • A prize draw will be drawn in October. You will be notified if you have won through your email address. Please ensure that it is typed correctly and can be contacted.
  • Each respective Smart Commute office reserves the right to distribute prizes, subject to change without notice.

Note: Completing the survey and/or logging a trip on SmartCommute.ca automatically enters you into the Smart Commute Month Contest and winners may choose to opt out of receiving the prize. Click here to download the official contest rules.
