Smart Commute Halton Municipalities invites you to gear up for Bike Month in June!
Bike Month is a celebration of all things cycling and the perfect time to get active outside by bike. There are cycling routes throughout the region to help you get to your destination for recreation and commuting.
Each biking trip can reduce emissions, help to ease traffic congestion, and contribute to cleaner communities.
Bike Month Events in the Region:
- Saturdays and Sundays in June: Burlington Green Pop Up at Burlington Beach Eco Hub
- June 2 - 6: Bike to School Week
- June 5: Pop Up at Acton Farmers Market in Halton Hills
- June 7: Halton Hills Ward 4 Community Soial Pop Up at Danby Park
- June 7: Bike Month Pop Up at the Moon in June Race at Burlington Town Square
- June 14: Pop Up at Civitan Market in Oakville
- June 14: Bike it to Market at Georgetown BIA Farmers Market at Halton Hills
- June 21: Oakville Community Bike Ride
With Smart Commute’s easy-to-use trip-logging feature you’ll be able to log your efforts and monitor your personal stats throughout the month. Track your progress, view your carbon reduction, and watch your impact add up to real change!

Each biking trip you log on the Smart Commute Tool counts as 1 entry to a random prize draw of a $50 gift card.
How to participate:
- Log your biking trips on SmartCommute.ca for a chance to WIN a $50 gift card.
- Each biking trip counts as one (1) entry to the random prize draw.
- New users (welcome!) who create their account between June 1 and 30, 2025, gain one (1) bonus entry to the random prize draw.
- New registrations through user referral codes between June 1 and 30, 2025, will also award those useres with one (1) bonus entry to the random prize draw.
- Trips must be taken between June 1 and 30, 2025, and must be logged on the Smart Commute Tool by 11:59pm EST on Monday, July 7, to qualify for the prize draw.
- You can only upload two (2) commute trips per day for the contest.
- A prize draw will be drawn in July. You will be notified if you have won through your email address. Please ensure that it is typed correctly and can be contacted.
- Each respective Smart Commute office reserves the right to distribute prizes, subject to change without notice.
Note: Logging a trip on SmartCommute.ca automatically enters you into the Bike Month Contest and winners may choose to opt out of receiving the prize.

In this workshop, Cycle Toronto will show you how to maintain your bike. Topics include: safety checks, assessing air pressure and flat tires, tightening your brakes, lubing your chain, and ensuring your bike is the right fit.
