Smart Commute Month

Thank you for participating in Smart Commute Month this September!

Smart Commute Month returns this September, and it’s your chance to think differently about how you travel. Whether you walk, bike, take transit, carpool, or work from home - we want to hear from you!

Smart Commute Month encouraged residents and employees across Bruce County to explore sustainable transportation options and share their commuting habits. Throughout September, participants completed the annual commuter survey, logged trips through the Smart Commute Tool, and took part in educational webinars focused on safe and sustainable travel. The campaign helped raise awareness of alternative transportation options, gather valuable transportation data, and support more sustainable, accessible, and connected communities.

Learning Through Webinars

As part of Smart Commute Month, Smart Commute hosted two informative webinars highlighting safe travel practices and the benefits of ridesharing. These sessions provided practical information, real-world experiences, and strategies for making everyday travel safer, more affordable, and more sustainable.

Recordings of both webinars are posted below:

Learn about road safety awareness, active transportation initiatives, and strategies to support safe walking and cycling in our communities.

Hear from commuters, employers, and Smart Commute representatives about the benefits of carpooling, including cost savings, reduced commute stress, and building connections through shared travel.

Thank You for Participating
Whether you completed the survey, logged a trip, attended a webinar, or simply considered new ways to travel, your participation helped support more sustainable transportation choices across the region.

Thank you for making Smart Commute Month 2026 a success.
