Bikes come in all shapes and sizes to fit your unique needs. Choosing the right bike will dictate the quality of your bike ride. Don't know where to start? No problem! Keep reading to find out about the different bikes available to you and what they do!

Road bikes are pretty self-explanatory. There for roads! They are designed to tackle long distances quickly on paved surfaces

Mountian bikes have the opposite use to road bikes as they are made purposely for going off-road. They are slower than the road bike but will not cause you to fall if you are exploring mountains, jungles or forests.

Hybrid bikes are a combination of a mountain bike and road bike. They are not as fast as a road bike or as stable as a mountain bike but provide an adequate amount of both qualities. They are great for commuters who will be travelling through mildly rocky terrains like unpaved roads as well as sidewalks and regular paved roads.

Gravel bikes are similar to road bikes but like the hybrid bike, they are made to endure a rougher terrain. They can be used on the road but have wide tires and low gearing which makes them stable enough so you can take them off the road without fear of falling. The difference between a gravel bike and a hybrid bike is that a gravel bike has the same feel as a road bike whereas, with a hybrid bike, you can feel the difference.

Folding bikes are great if you are taking multiple modes of transportation on your commute. They fold up into a transportable size for you to bring around.

If you get tired easily or have to bike extremely long distances you may want to look into electric bikes. They have an “assist” to help with pedalling, some even have a throttle. Electric bikes tend to be a little more expensive and heavier than other forms of bikes.

Touring bikes are great for the adventurous as they allow you to carry heavy loads. This includes food, tents, changes of clothes, or whatever you need!
