Humber River Recreational Trail

The Humber River Recreational Trail is a highly accessible trail which feels like a history and geography lesson rolled up into one. This centuries-old trail was used by a variety of indigenous groups as a route between Lake Ontario and Lake Simcoe. It is a popular spot for cyclists, photographers and bird watchers.


How can you get there?

From Union Station, hop on the Kitchener GO train line and get off at Weston and walk for 12 minutes. Check the GO Transit website for train schedules to plan your trip.


University of Guelph Arboretum

Unleash your inner horticulturist at the University of Guelph Arboretum, which features 400 acres of tree and shrub collections, gardens, walking trails, natural woodlands, wetlands and meadows. There’s a variety of activities for everyone here and several easy trails for leisurely strolls while visiting the beautiful school campus!


How can you get there?

From Union Station, go on the Kitchener GO Train line and get off at Guelph Central Go and take 99 bus from Macdonell at Wilson Westbound to University Centre South Loop Platform then walk for 22 mins in the campus. Niagara Falls

Using public transit to Niagara Falls is your best bet to beat the traffic! Spending your summer holiday to experience the world famous Niagara Falls in the Niagara Region, you can bike and walk along the Niagara trails to view the natural beauty of Niagara Falls. Other than that, there are lots of entertainment attractions and outlets nearby that can accommodate the needs of different people!


How can you get there?

Weekend GO Train service from Toronto to Niagara Falls is now year-round. On weekends and holidays, two Lakeshore West Line trips to Niagara Falls will depart Union Station at 10:07 a.m. and 5:07 p.m. Trips to Toronto will depart at 1:07 p.m. and 8:07 p.m.


During weekdays, get on the Lakeshore West Line, get off at Burlington Go and take route 12 Niagara Falls GO bus. When you arrive at Niagara Falls Go, transfer the local WEGO bus.
