Bike Day 2025

Thank you to everyone who came out to our annual Bike Day for the 7.5km group ride on June 4th! We had an incredible turnout, and it was inspiring to see so many of you showing your support for sustainable commuting. Your participation made the event a tremendous success and reinforced our community’s growing dedication to eco-friendly transportation.

A huge thank you to WSP Canada for co-hosting the event, from planning and coordination to making sure the event ran smoothly, your partnership was truly appreciated. We’re also grateful to York Regional Police for supporting and leading a safe and enjoyable ride, your guidance helped ensure a smooth and secure experience for all participants.

Special thanks to CAA South Central Ontario for supporting the group bike ride with their Bike Assist Program truck throughout the route. Their presence added a valuable layer of support and peace of mind for all our bike event riders. We’d also like to express our heartfelt appreciation to York Region, as well as our generous gift sponsors Evolution Cycles and CAA South Central Ontario, for your ongoing support.

The Bike Month t-shirts were a hit, and we loved seeing participants excited about the 6km bike ride and chance to win event prizes. A sincere thank you as well to Mayor David West of the City of Richmond Hill and Councillor Ritch Lau of the City of Markham for supporting the bike ride event. Mayor Frank Scarpitti and Councillor Lau presented a commemorative certificate to our event sponsors, and SCMRH for promoting active transportation and enhancing a bike friendly community. Huge shout out to our municipal staffs who came out to support the bike ride event!
