TWO Ways to WIN during BIKE MONTH!


Get ready, get set and shift gears into Bike Month this June! Bike Month is a celebration of cycling to encourage everyone to get cycling, learn new riding skills or for fun events to connect with new people! Ride your bike for your commute to work, a lunch break, running errands in your neighbourhood, or a ride with friends and family or others!

Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area regions, cities and local municipalities, and the City of Greater Sudbury with Smart Commute are hosting Bike Month and invite you to participate for a chance to WIN - and there are TWO WAYS to participate!


1. Smart Commute’s Bike Month Contest


Log cycling trips for a chance to WIN a $100 e-gift card!


• Log your bike trips on SmartCommute.ca for a chance to win a $100 e-gift card, courtesy of York Region (5 available)

• Bike trips taken between June 1 to June 30, 2023 are eligible, and must be logged by 11:59pm EST on July 10 to qualify for

the prize draw.

• Up to two (2) bike trips per day are eligible for the contest.

• Each respective Smart Commute office reserves the right to distribute prizes, subject to change without notice.


Note: Logging a bike trip on SmartCommute.ca automatically enters you into the Smart Commute Contest and winners may choose to opt out receiving the prize. Official York Region Contest Rules



2. Bike Month Bingo


Bike Bingo begins on June 1st!


If you’re looking for some extra motivation to hop on a bike during Bike Month, this year’s Bike Bingo Contest is a fun challenge! Download a Bingo Card, complete a variety of cycling activities and try to get at least five in a row! Submit your completed bingo card and you'll be entered for a chance to WIN some exciting prizes.

Bike Month Webinars


Safe Cycling 101 Workshop

Date: Thursday, June 8

Time: 12pm - 1pm



Learn everything you need to know about cycling with confidence!

Topics include: equipment and bike fit, safe riding techniques, rules and responsibilities, interactions with others, choosing your route and more.

Learn the basics of how to maintain your bike!

Topics include: safety checks, assessing air pressure and flat tires, tightening your brakes, lubing your chain, and ensuring your bike is the right fit.
